Even if you don’t know how to cook, you can easily nail this simple and delicious dish (as long as you have an oven)!
There’s just something about roasted tomatoes. Under those wrinkly skins are warm intensive sweet juicy flavors concentrated by the oven-roasting. Delicious!
Look at those little bite-size pockets of goodies ready to BURST with juicy flavors in your mouth! mmMMmm…
We’ve tested this recipe with few types of tomatoes. It still works! Well, don’t try putting the whole globe tomato in the oven like we did. They…well…you probably don’t want to know what happened. Anyway, none of them tasted as good as the roasted San Marzano tomatoes.
San Marzano tomatoes are originally from Italy. Good news is that we found fresh ones in regular supermarkets that were grown in the States! Try to get your hands on some! Their strongly sweet and less acidic flavor is very palatable. More so, they have a firm texture that aren’t overly juicy. No wonder they’re so popular among cooks for making sauce and roasting.
